Introductions, Please!

We were so excited to start our blog and talk all about our beloved chicken that we forgot our manners and didn't introduce ourselves properly.

I'm Dakota, also known as Princess Dak to some of my friends. I am a "huskador", which is a fancy name for being half husky (my dad) and half labrador (my mom), although really I guess I am just a mutt!

I am just over a year now, but I sure was a cute--but grumpy--puppy. I was my mom and dad's first dog. Mom wanted a husky and dad wanted a lab, but they found me and decided I was an okay compromise. They were interested to see what my personality would be--husky or lab?

This picture sums it up. Like any good husky, I loooooove snow! It has only snowed once at my house, but I had great fun running around in it. I am also a very "independent" girl, and everyone says that's the husky in me. Mom and I have done THREE different obedience classes, and I embarrassed her every time because I just laughed when she asked me to do stuff. ("You want me to sit? Nah, maybe tomorrow.") However, like any good lab, I loooooove to retrieve stuff, and this is my favourite toy (besides beloved chicken), a squeaky yellow ball. I am on my third one now because I love them too much... I also enjoy swimming and eating anything that will fit in my mouth. When I was a little pup I scared my mom and dad by eating part of a Coke can, but I was okay.

I am bugging mom to go for a walk now, so Georgia's introduction will have to wait until later. Meanwhile, more pics of me! me! me!

Christmas "Bark in the Park" 2009. Don't I look festive with my red bow?

Duck that I borrowed from my "bad cousins" (more on them in a future blog).

Play bows and bye bye for now!

  2. Hi. I found your blog by accident looking at pictures of Huskadors on google. I can't believe it but your Dakota looks exactly like my girl Bronte. They could be twins!! Amazing.
